Greenville, Maine WEATHER

GREENVILLE – Charleston Church, established in 1923, now has four campuses in Maine, with a vision of having a church in every County in our beautiful state. We in Greenville are blessed with the arrival of Charleston Church Moosehead and the Ruby Family: Pastor Josh, his wife Cait, and their young sons Levi, Colton and Weston.

The new worship center is located in what was previously the New Life Church on Mayhew Manor. Pastor Josh, who lives in Charleston and travels to Greenville on Wednesdays and Sundays to lead worship, is in his final year of Bible College. He is from Vasselboro where he, his father and two brothers ran a garage. His family also had a camp in Blanchard while he was growing up, and some of his fondest memories are sharing the Moosehead Region with his wife Cait in the early years of their marriage. He’s thrilled to be in Moosehead spreading the word of God.

Josh wants everyone to know he is here to be a blessing to the town and to build the community up with values from the Bible. As a Pentecostal, Josh believes wholeheartedly in the Bible and the Word of God, but don’t expect a “fire and brimstone” lecture when you walk through the doors. The Ruby’s strive for a laid-back, family atmosphere with live music. Everyone is welcome; in fact, one of their mottos is, “Every Sunday, every person.”

Josh also believes strongly in healing and helping people “win.” He wants everyone to know that, “You can have victory; you can overcome.” The Church is currently doing a winter coat drive. Brand new winter coats can be dropped off at the Church on Wednesdays after four or on Sundays. On the 27th of this month, they hosted “First Responder Sunday,” and honored our local police, firemen and EMT’s in person on that day. Please join them and wear your uniform!

The Ruby’s are a beautiful, welcoming and kind family, and they treat their parishioners as if they are family. If you’d like to be part of this growing family, Josh says, “Come in your Hey Dudes and jeans and grab a cup of coffee!” (The coffee is good; I can attest). See our Church Services Calendar for days and times. Let’s give a warm welcome to the Ruby’s next Sunday!
