Greenville, Maine WEATHER

On February 8, 2025, the Wilderness Sled Dog Race will take place in the beautiful Moosehead Lake Region of Maine. As one of only two long distance races in New England, our 60- and 35-mile races have become very popular in the sled dog racing community. We will also be hosting a 4-mile sprint race with teams of three to four dogs, as well as skijoring participants with 1 dog. Activities will be scheduled throughout the day, including a bonfire to welcome back the mushers. There will be several viewing locations for spectators to watch teams on the trail, accessible by car or snowmobile, including three road crossings, as well as through West Branch Pond Camps.
